Help me and I will help you. We are human beings and we should love and care for all people. I'm working on a project to create a community of people focused on learning about love and spreading love to all human beings. Please feel free to talk to me and ask me anything. I am on Facebook, Gmail, Google+, and Twitter. I will occasionally post in the mobile section of Craigslist as well under rants and raves.

To be happy, you need three main things in your life to be in a good place. Love, Friendship, Family. If one of them isn’t, then you’re probably not completely happy. When you’re depressed, one or two of them can be really bad, or all three can be medium bad to extremely bad.

For me, all three…

This is so true, but I think your definitions of love, family, and friends also factor into a person’s healing. For me love can be simple. It’s saying hello, taking the time to talk to someone. Family is the group of people you feel closest to. The people who are there to protect you, and that you feel truly safe around. And friends are the people who bring you joy. Family and friends are closely linked, and that is because they both require love. I think the type of love is what separates family from friend. A friend cares about you and loves you, and can be there for you to an extent. Family will make you feel like they are yours, and you belong to them. Family will take care of the basic needs in life, and friends come after to help you reach the highest points of happiness.

I don’t feel secure around anyone, though. No one makes me happy. I don’t feel like I belong anywhere. And no one’s told me they loved me in over a year.

Well, I love you. And I’m not just saying that. You are a person. You’re obviously hurting right now, and that honestly upsets me. If you could just try talking to anyone, even if it’s not me, it will help you. Know that I am an open book. Talk to me, vent to me, tell me everything you’ve ever hidden from people. I’ll will listen, respond honestly, and I will keep any and all of your secrets safe and secure. You don’t have to trust me right away. If you want to know me as a person or friend first, try it! I am a real person too. That’s why I’m here. We’re all just people looking for love and kindness =]

It’s odd to think of happiness as a choice but it is. We choose whether or not we are happy. I don’t mean that we are in control every moment or that we have any say in how much serotonin and/or dopamine our brains produce. I mean happiness in a general sense of the word.

Some people find it…

Happiness, for me, is a goal. It is THE goal. If you read into philosophy, Aristotle talks about the pursuit of happiness as the ultimate goal for all people. I’m no philosophy major, but I read that and really believe it. But you do have to make hard decisions to get to happiness. You have to decide to better yourself by going to therapy or making new friends or simply looking for help. No one can get to happy without the help of others. So yes, you have to make an effort for happiness, but it’s not just you. We are all human beings and we are all interconnected and interdependent. We need to help each other out.

People, love is so powerful. The joy I feel now is almost impossible, but the fact that I can feel it even with this darkness in my life is proof that my efforts are worth it.

Find love, it will be the greatest thing you ever do.
